This Pandemic has trapped all of us at home while the cravings for “bahar ka khana” still remains when it comes to street food, snacks etc. And we are already bored of the regular limited restaurants available in the vicinity of our locality to satiate these cravings. So, decided to go through the newest restaurants in Zomato and selected one such restaurant- Food District, New Town. Because it was month end, so I had to keep in mind about the prices as well. But there are certain questions which pops up in my head!
- Is Zomato safe?
- Are they taking all the necessary precautions as recommended by WHO?
- Are they sanitising the kitchens properly?
- Is everyone wearing a mask?
- Are the temperatures of all the staffs being taken regularly?
- Are the delivery boys wearing proper masks?
After enquiring, we got to know about these safety protocols of them-
- All of their staffs stays at staff counters and even if someone decides to return home for a while, they are being quarantined for 14 days at the Staff Quarter.
- They are sanitising their kitchens regularly.
- They are periodically taking the temperatures of all the delivery boys and ensuring that they are wearing masks.
- They are handing over all of the orders in a particular table maintaining the social distancing norms between the delivery boys as well.
- All of their staffs are wearing proper full sleeved uniforms.
- They are ensuring that everyone is sanitising and washing their hands properly.
- They have a dine in option, which is currently closed due to pandemic. They currently providing only delivery services through Zomato and Swiggy.
So, without any further doubts in my mind, ordered few of the items from there and here are my views on it:
- Fish Finger( INR 170): I am an ardent lover of fish fingers and that when served with Kasundi makes it all the way more delicious.

- Chicken Club Sandwich( INR 100): The sandwich was my favourite amongst all. It was loaded with mayo and chicken. I would highly recommend this. Perfect for the price.

- Pasta(INR 195): The Pasta was a bit more on the tangier side as it was already cooked in red sauce and then was again topped with olives.

So, if you are looking for some pocket friendly delivery joints, you can definitely give this place a try.
